A mixture of gastronomical experiences, priceless entertainment from, amongst others, Iris Hond, and unique auction items to raise money for the World Food Programme made it an unforgettable evening. The impressive number of 100.00 euros was raised for the good cause. The guests, 400 in number, enjoyed the four-course dinner that was prepared by some of the prize-winning chefs. The main course was prepared by chef-of-the-year Onno Kokmeijer from restaurant Ciel Bleu.<\/p>\n<p>It was especially the partnerships that made it a successful whole, says Vincent de Ridder, general manager of the Kromhouthal. \u201cThe collaboration with Gault&amp;Millau and all the other partners that contributed to the event was fantastic. Because we\u2019re all hosts and hostesses here at the Kromhouthal, this was an event after our hearts. Since about a year ago, the company has new management and a new general manager, Godfried van der Lugt. His appointment has given Gault&amp;Millau a fresh impetus. The company has pulled out all the stops to make Gault&amp;Millau a leading company with a relevant restaurant guide once more. To achieve that goal, the restaurant guide has been completely modernized and is now also available online and as an app.<\/p>\n<p>The launch event in the cool setting of the Kromhouthal characterizes the new course the company has taken. \u201cThe Kromhouthal is a cool, young event venue and fits the wind of change blowing through our company very well. It\u2019s especially the raw, industrial setting the Kromhouthal offers and the exciting contrast it forms with an event like this, that made it such a good match. This event was a perfect steppingstone for our new future.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Considering that, the ambitions for this launch event were reached: The event got a lot of media attention and the new face of the company and the modernized guide were all well received.
